Lightly.

Today I have decided to purposely smile. I decided I would release my anger and worries and most importantly the expectations I put on myself. What a huge difference that has made. In a very short matter of time. Now I realize nothing is a quick fix and its something I will battle with for a long time if not always. But It is such a relief to know there is something I can do when outside circumstances are not preventable. I have no control over some things in my life right now and rather than dwelling on them, I am choosin to be grateful for all the beautiful blessing that I have. Which turns out to be a lot. Simply breathing in fresh air and exhaling all the worries expectations and pains, I feel a million times better!
There was a beautiful prayer request answered today, so thank God for that.
Here's to me- to all of us striving every day to be a better parent, spouse, daughter, friend, and Christian. And remembering we never have to be perfect. Because God judges our heart. And after all, He is what truly matters in the end. Every second is a chance to start new :)

Setting goals has helped me out a lot as well. Confidence and joy soar when I make those goals and now that I am remembering to forgive myself when I do not make those goals right away, I feel much lighter.
So much lighter.

Just another story.

I have been told telling my story will help.. people. I don't see how that is the case but I figure there is some reason I have dealt with the things that I have. So I'll start out simple.

Anxiety.

Crippling. Suffocating. Like a straight jacket warn under water.

Sounds so dramatic. So exaggerated. But it's so real. There's a quote that describes it perfectly "You don't need water to feel like you're drowning, do you?" no. I don't.

I've always had anxiety. for as long as I remember. After I had my youngest child it got significantly worse. It was no longer a panic attack that I would get over once I figured out or was proven everything would be okay. It was tightness in my chest all night and I didn't know why. It was someone is going to get sick and I know that will kill us all. It was sleeping in his room every night for months. It was waking up every few hours to check his breathing. It was my daughter has a sore tooth it's all goi…
